I feel very similar Laisee. (incidentally, the writing project details are at the link in the post - though you technically need a blog to take part, comments are just as good!).

Not sure how to participate in this writing project, but this subject sure has come up a lot especially as I have lived in BJ for the past 12 years and in HK for 12. I guess I am a lifer especially with my own company, however my wife would surely love to move back to the US or to Singapore where she is from. So is it "yuan fen"?, an addiction to rapid change? A love of paradox's? I doubt I could deal with the politically correct, risk adverse and totally predictable and boring US of A, though the greenery and blue skies would be lovely. I have thought India or Vietnam might be cool places to experience living in, but as a Mandarin speaker and getting on in years I sorta like the "Lao Zhong Guo Tong" moniker.

I guess there may never be a "after China" for me.

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for getting the word out about this... my readership is virtually nil at the moment so I appreciate the help very much.

Hopefully we can get some good participation for this project, cause it's a question that I know I have thought about a lot.
