@Chris: Yeah... in itself 多美丽 isn't too out there - for a clothing shop, a hair salon, etc. - but for fried chicken? I like fried chicken as much as the next guy... but I don't think I've ever been inspired to call it "美丽的".

Man, their Web site could use some SERIOUS work. It appears to not have been updated since around the millennium - and it shows. Looks like the Chinglish is actually Singlish, as it's from Singapore. Someone should cane their web designer... seriously.

@Flotsam: Was a little lost on the link you sent until I scrolled down far enough and saw you in front of the Chinese fried chicken shack. :-)

The website reminds me of CBC [China's Best Chicken] - I think the original Chinese name is Jia Jia Ji - and that is as close to KFC as you could get, interior decorations, menu, almost everything - but the price was fractionally lower.

Well, I couldn't really find any clues as to the name, but it's a pretty blatant KFC knockoff. Here's their website. As far as the Chinese name "多美丽", that's not strange, it just means "How beautiful!". Well, on second thought, maybe that is a strange name for a fried chicken place.
