I just love this photo - for the lighting, for the unique subject, for the expressions in the crowd - and for the fact that it has this very reminiscent revolutionary feel to it; sort of a Great Leap Forward meets drunken carnival. I had intended to go to this beer festival, I now regret missing it.

Only two days until the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics and with all the cynicism floating around - we here at Lost Laowai needed a little somethin’ somethin’ to … ahem… raise our Olympic spirits.
