I tried the ibVPN who advertize here, but they couldn't give me any kind of service and ended up reimbursing me, blaming mac's snow leopard OS for allowing DNS poisoning, not a problem with windows it seems. So I am looking for the best one. Any advice welcomed. Thank you.

I use strongVPN on my Macbook Air and have never had any problems.
A standard PPTP account meets most needs and requires no additional software, but you can get an OPEN account which offers higher encryption and a faster Hong Kong server if you think you need it. You have a limited number of server hops a month so you can get US IP for Netflix streaming or bank transactions, which tend to be flagged when you have an overseas IP address.
Also offered is a $2 a month add-on account which you can use for an iPhone or iPad.
I've tried a few different ones and ended up going with https://12vpn.com/ They have a very easy to use preconfigured installer and provide a free license (with purchase of their service) for the Viscosity client http://www.viscosityvpn.com/
Can't use their VPN with torrent systems though.
http://www.bolehvpn.net/ does allow torrenting and was a very close second.
I should mention that 12vpn's Lite plan at $30/year provides many more features than StrongVPN's plans which either cripple or limit protocols or platforms. Take a look at Sir Steven's post at http://www.lostlaowai.com/laowai-answers/technology/what-best-vpn-servic...
