According to Variety:
“Marco Polo” also stars Benedict Wong, Joan Chen, Chin Han, Zhu Zhu, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Mahesh Jad, Tom Wu, Remy Hii, Uli Latukefu and Rick Yune. The period drama was shot in Italy, Kazakhstan and Malaysia.
The series was produced by Netflix and The Weinstein Company. John Fusco (“Homeland,” “Game of Thrones”) created the series and serves as exec producer. Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) directed the first two hours and are also exec producers.
And seriously, naked kungfu:
I do not get it: why the kung fu fight has to be naked? … anyway … I cannot wait to see that! 😀
The nudity fits the plotline, interrupted while taking a bath… yadda yadda… who knows. Really, the question we need to be asking is why isn’t there more naked kungfu? 🙂
