A foreigner in Beijing has become a bit of a Chinese internet celebrity by taking a stand against cars illegally driving through a bike lane to avoid traffic.
The incident happened November 15, on Yaojiayuan Road in Beijing, where the anonymous bespectacled every-man hero blocked the bike path with his bicycle and grim determination.
This isn’t the first time that a law-respecting laowai, armed with only two rubber tubes and some aluminum pipes, has taken their cause to Beijing’s bike lanes. Long-timers may remember the case of a foreign woman doing much the same back in 2006. Unlike our furrowed friend above, she even did it with a big grin.
And who could forget the champion of traffic champions, Guangzhou’s rollerblading Rollerman!
