Great Hall of the People

- The Great Hall of the People is located at the western edge of Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China. It was opened in September 1959 as was one of the “Ten Great Constructions” completed for the 10th Anniversary of the PRC. It was built in 10 months by “volunteers”. This enormous building is open to the public when the national conference is not in session.
