Director and chief choreographer John Neumeier has lightened Hans Christian Andersen’s tragic story, Daughter of the Sea, in this ballet adapted especially to suit the characteristics of the Chinese dancers of the National Ballet of China.
Featuring fabulous stage effects with rich imagination, very modern scenes and characters accompanied by the touching music. The performance is the most invested, rehearsed and difficult ballet that National Ballet of China has performed in recent years.
